Jeffery Alan "Jeff" Raymond, 52, of Parsons, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, September 8, 2015 at his home.

He was born July 5, 1963 in San Luis Obispo, California to Larry and Mary (Rhodes) Raymond. He was a 1981 graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont and later attended Labette Community College and Pittsburg State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree.

He then lived in Altamont before moving to Parsons in 1992 where he worked as an aide at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center before becoming disabled in 1993.

He enjoyed collecting books and war board games, drawing, and was an avid fan of Star Trek and Star Wars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He and Tamara "Tammy" Sarratt were married October 16, 1993 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Parsons. She survives of the home.

One Daughter – Julie Katherine Burns and her husband, Leland Fredonia, KS
Two Grandchildren – Skylar Raymond and Allainna Burns
One Sister – Lisa Brown Altamont, KS
Two Nieces - Caitlin Brown Altamont, KS
Tialisa Friedman Topeka, KS
One Great-Niece - Alice Winter
Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins

Graveside memorial services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
