Jerald L. "Jerry" Larery, 56, of Parsons, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the place of his employment, Power Flame. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.

He was born, August 1, 1953 at Parsons, to Paul W. and Barbara A. (Williams) Larery. He grew up and attended school in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School in 1971. He then attended the Pittsburg State University where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Jerry worked for John Deere for a time. He also worked for the Labette County Medical Center for a time and had been with Power Flame for about ten years.

Jerry was very close to his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to Joplin every Sunday to visit his mother. Jerry enjoyed collecting coins and had attended the Faith United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Parsons Masonic Lodge #117, A. F. & A. M..

He was first married to Vicki Hills on March 13, 1973. They later divorced. He was later married to Debbie Jones on March 5, 1982. They also later divorced.

Four Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Meagan, Morgan and Rebecca Hizey
His Mother: Barbara Larery - Joplin, MO
One Brother: Bill Larery and his wife, Patricia - Carthage, MO
One Sister: Dawn Larery - Pittsburg, KS
Two Aunts: Sue Peters - Parsons, KS
Frances Light - Yates Center, KS

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Larery Grandchildren Education Fund and these may be left at or mailed to the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, 405 Main St. Parsons, KS 67357.
