Jeremiah David Broadwell, 31, of Edna left this life on Earth to be with the Lord, at 4:25 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2009 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born May 6 th , 1978, in Parsons to John and Vickie (Nance) Broadwell. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas and attended Holy Name and Field Kinley Schools. He later lived in Dallas, Texas for a short time before returning to Coffeyville, then Edna, Kansas.

Jeremiah enjoyed his work as a welder. He traveled coast to coast as a welder. For a short time he worked for Circle C Construction. He also helped his father raising cattle.

He cherished spending time with his family. He was very family oriented and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his nephew and nieces. He played sports; wrestling, baseball, basketball, and football as well as playing pool. He also liked to travel with his Granddad Gene to help on trips to the flea market.

2 8 aunts and uncles, several great-aunts and great-uncles, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edwin Crumb Broadwell, great-grandfathers Clinton Milton Nance and Julia R. Leon and great-grandmother Guadalupe Leon.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Mother of God Catholic Church in Oswego. Burial will be in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Mound Valley, Kansas. The rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the church. The family will receive friends at the church following the rosary.
