Jerry L. Kendall, 80, from Edna, passed away the morning of December 22, 2021, at his home.
Jerry Lee Kendall was born on January 3, 1941, to Henry Edward "Hank" and Pauline Feryl (Brown) Kendall in Wichita. Growing up in Wichita, Jerry graduated from North High School in 1959 where he lettered in wrestling. He and Ann Goodwin were united in marriage on December 23, 1966 in Wichita. She survives of the home. In the years following his graduation from high school, Jerry traveled throughout the United States buying and selling horses. He then went to work for the Katy Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years as a switchman and yardmaster until his retirement on January 10, 2002.
Jerry enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was very active in the community and also enjoyed collecting guns and knives. Jerry was someone who never met a stranger.

One son – Craig and his wife, Sherri Kendall, of Knoxville, Tennessee
One daughter – Amy Jo and her husband, Shane Holtzman, of Altamont, Kansas
Three grandchildren – Kendall Holtzman, Kaitlin Dyer and Parker Kendall
One brother – Charles Kendall, Wichita
Two sisters – Kay Herring and Sondra Leatherman both of Wichita
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2021, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:30 a.m. before the service.
