Jesse Yanez, 81, a native son of Parsons, Kansas, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born August 10, 1925, in Parsons to Romulo and Bernabe (Sanchez) Yanez. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Korean conflict. After his Army war service, he worked in federal civil service until he retired from the Railroad Retirement Board in 1980.

He was married to his wife of 42 years, Teresa Yanez. She survives of the home.

He was always, first and foremost, a family man. In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Numerous Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

A graveside committal service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors given by Brown-Bishop Post #704 Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
