James H. "Jimmy" Hannebohn, Jr., 52, of Chetopa passed away at 2:56 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born December 23, 1964 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to James Howard Hannebohn and Ellen Jane (Hancock) Hannebohn. Jimmy's father was a minister and the family lived in several cities while Jimmy was growing up including; Crawfordsville, Indiana, Dover, Indiana, Vestaburg, Michigan, Mattoon, Illinois, Sheldon, Illinois, Jay, Oklahoma, and Chetopa, Kansas. In his youth, he was in the Cub Scouts, Webelos, and Boy Scouts. Jimmy worked as a cook at the former Buckboard Restaurant and Debs Drive-In Restaurant. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWE, golfing, and gaming. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chetopa.

He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
