John B. Brown, 89, of Chetopa, died at 11:35 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Labette Health in Parsons.
He was born June 12, 1919, in Pomona, California, to Arthur Winford and Katherine Irene (Knell) Brown.
He and Mildred Coons were married February 27, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Army for two years before becoming a park caretaker for the City of Pomona.
