John R. Rolls, 81, of Mound Valley, passed away the morning of Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Labette Health.
John Robert Rolls was born on July 5, 1943, to Robert and Gertrude (Chittenden) Rolls in Watsonville, California. After honorably serving in the United States Navy, John worked as an aerospace mechanic. After many years in the aerospace industry, he retired from Boeing.
He enjoyed music, computers and electronics.
For over 43 years, John and Darlene Marie (Bertelson) enjoyed a happy, beautiful marriage. She survives of the home.

Two sons – Waylon Rolls of Anderson, Missouri
Dallas Rolls and his fiancé, Shyla, of Joplin, Missouri
Two step-sons – Shawn Kuhns and his wife, Darla, of Puyallup, Washington
Paul Kuhns and his wife, Charity, of Albany, Oregon
One step-daughter – Jill Carinio and her husband, Albert, of Shreveport, Louisiana
Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Susan (Rolls) Armstrong.
There will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date. Cremation is under the care of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Altamont.
