John B. Wulf, Jr., 51, of Chetopa, passed away at 4:55 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 28, 1960, in Oswego, Kansas, to John B. Wulf, Sr. and Betty J. (Rue) Wulf. As a child, the family lived in England, New York and California while his father was serving in the United States Air Force. Upon returning to Southeast Kansas, he graduated in 1979 from Labette County High School in Altamont. After high school, he served in the National Guard from 1979-1986.
He and Anita Willmschen were married April 18, 1981, in Miami, Oklahoma. Their 31-year marriage was filled with true love and happiness beyond words. To this union was born a daughter, Amber, who was the light of her father's life.
John worked in metal fabrication throughout his adult life and was currently employed at Power Flame in Parsons where he had worked the past 24 years.
He cherished spending time with his wife, daughter, and two granddaughters who affectionately called him "Papa". He also enjoyed his dogs and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. John was always concerned for the well-being of others and has given the gift of life as a donor and, in his memory, his hair will be given to Locks of Love.
