Johnny A. Bro, 71, of Chetopa, died at 12:20 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.
He was born May 23, 1939, in Barnard, Kansas, to Fulton and Lois Bro. He was a 1960 graduate of Grant High School in Grant, New Mexico. In 1963, he moved to Baxter Springs and worked at the Doans Animal Feed Store in Joplin.
He and Patsy Cooper were married and later divorced. He and Norma Price were married and later divorced. On April 4, 1987, he married the love of his life, Judith Ann Parks. The couple lived in Cherryvale until moving to Chetopa in July 2007.
He was a member of the Cherryvale Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Judith Ann Bro, on August 3, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Cherryvale. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m., on Thursday until service time on Friday.
