Jonathan W. "Johnny" Unruh, 53, of Parsons, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born August 23, 1962 in Parsons, Kansas to Uriah Siebert and Flora Amy (Ely) Unruh. As a young boy, he attended school in Mound Valley and Altamont and later attended Labette Community College in Parsons.
In earlier years he lived in Dennis before moving to Parsons where he lived his entire adult life. He was a member of the Parsons Foursquare Church and enjoyed playing guitar, piano, drums, and bass. Through the years, he had worked as a personal care attendant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene Dungan-Unruh and infant Danny Unruh; and one sister, Margaret Buffington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at Valley Cemetery near Parsons. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
