Jonathan J. Wilhoft, 38, of Parsons, passed away on Wednesday, January 19 at 12:45 a.m. at Labette Health.

Jonathan Jay Wilhoft was born on November 15, 1983 at St. Francis, Kansas, to Karissa Joy Bartlett.  He grew up and was home schooled in Parsons, then attended school at Labette Community College in Parsons and then Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado.  Later he lived in Wray, Colorado for a time before moving to Everett, Washington, where he attended Trinity Lutheran College receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies.

In 2011, Jonathan returned to Parsons where he has lived since.  The last 10 years, he worked at Labette Community College in the facilities department and in the LCC athletic department as the Sports Information Coordinator.

Jonathan was an avid Denver Bronco's, Colorado Avalanche, and Kansas City Royals fan.  He was also a KLKC sports announcer for the LCHS Grizzlies sporting events for a time.  In earlier years, he loved playing the guitar and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jonathan was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

In 2006, Jonathan was married to Courtney Revell in Parsons, Kansas

He is survived by his wife, Courtney of Parsons, two sons, Atticus Elijah Wilhoft and Jonas Wayne Wilhoft, his mother, Karissa Wilhoft of Parsons, two sisters, Violet Riggs (Stephen) of Derby, and Liesl Wilhoft (Jory Ramsey) of Overland Park.   He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Terri Wilhoft of Denver, Colorado and his paternal grandfather, Fred Wilhoft of Denver, Colorado.   He was preceded in death by his father, Steven W. Wilhoft on April 18, 2017, as well as his maternal grandparents, John and Bethany Bartlett.

Services will be held on Monday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Church Gymnasium with Fr. Curtis Robertson officiating.  The Rosary will be prayed at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home on Sunday, January 23, at 4:00 p.m. with visitation following.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Wilfhoft Children Education Fund for his children.
