Joseph A. Beasley, 79, of Parsons, died at 7:16 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons. He had been in failing health, but death was unexpected.
He and his twin brother, Jackson Lee, were born June 24, 1927, in Joplin, Missouri, to Arnold and Florence L. (Coryele) Beasley. He grew up and attended Joplin schools. He later served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean conflict.
In 1953 through 1957, he attended Franklin Technical School while working at Vickers, Inc. as general foreman until 1964. In January 1965, he became a major stockholder in Ruskin Manufacturing. He opened a branch manufacturing plant in Parsons in October 1965, retiring from Ruskin Manufacturing in 1985. He then started
M & M Moulding, Inc., in Cherryvale in 1988 which was sold in 1996. In 1996, he started PIMCO, Inc. which was sold in 1997 due to health problems.
He and Maryann Giltner were married in 1974. She survives of the home.
He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Steve in 1971, three brothers, including his twin brother, Jackson in 1987, and four sisters.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends following the service.
