Joseph "Joe" Hayward, 69, of Parsons, died at 12:28 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Freeman West Medical Center in Joplin.
He was born February 14, 1937 in Santa Cruz, California to Morris James and Mary (Simmons) Hayward. As a teen, he attended the Eldorado country school and later Stockton High School. He also was converted at the Needmore Church in Cedar County, Missouri as a teen.
Five years ago, he relocated to Parsons from Rogers, Arkansas and was currently employed by Napa Auto as a parts delivery man.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1963; his mother in 1965; and his sister, Inous Pauline Broyles, on December 31, 1998.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa with Rev. Randall Hayward, nephew, and Mrs. Carolyn Hayward Tucker, niece, officiating.
Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa is in charge of funeral arrangements.
