Judy Kay Rice, 62, of Chetopa, died at 9:01 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born July 10, 1950 in Chetopa, Kansas to Thomas J. and Ruby I. (Moore) Rice. She grew up in Chetopa and graduated from Chetopa High School in 1972.
She had worked as the assistant manager of the former Johnson's convenience store in Chetopa, and then she was the manager of the Casey's store. She most recently had worked at Jumpstart.
She enjoyed crocheting.
She had attended the First Baptist Church in Chetopa.
Survivors:
One Brother – Robert Lee Rice and his wife Joyce Corpus Christi, Texas
One Sister – Susan Ann Rice Chetopa, Kansas
One sister-in-law – Nancy Rice Chetopa, Kansas
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Tom Rice.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
