Juna A. Morris, 97, of Parsons, passed away at 5:05 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
She was born August 4, 1919 in Picher, Oklahoma to Monroe and Rettie (Porter) Bradley. As a young girl, she grew up in Webb City, Missouri where she attended school. She then lived in Kansas City for a time before returning to Webb City.
On July 23, 1945, she and Olin W. Morris were married at the Washington Avenue United Methodist Church in Parsons. Following marriage, the couple made their home in Parsons where she assisted her husband as bookkeeper in his veterinary practice.
She was a member of the former Washington Avenue United Methodist Church. As an accomplished seamstress, Juna especially enjoyed making clothing for her many China and porcelain dolls that she had collected through the years. She also enjoyed reading, playing bridge, attending auctions, collecting antiques, and square dancing in earlier years.
Survivors include her nieces, nephews, and cousins including her loving nephew, Greg Morris and his wife, Kathy, of Parsons, who provided for her care the past nine years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin W. Morris, on January 1, 1994.
Private graveside services will be held at East Hill Cemetery near Erie under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
