Justin R. Waun

Justin R. Waun, 44, of Parsons, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Justin Ryan Waun was born on July 2, 1982, to Daniel and Jeanene Marie (Schulze) Waun in Parsons. He grew up and attended school in Parsons. As a young man, Justin began a lawncare business. He was a man of many talents, who focused and mostly enjoyed doing carpentry work.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted father. To his many friends and large extended family, Justin was the life of the party. In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing and fixing up vehicles.

Two daughters – Payzlie and Kynzlie Waun

His fiancé – Staci Marquardt

His step-children – Railynn Rakes and Jaxtyn Overman

His father – Daniel Waun of Altamont, Kansas

One brother – Derick Waun of Altamont, Kansas

Two sisters – Heather Waun and her husband, Bradley Goff, of Parsons, Kansas

Tonya Moss and her husband, Jason, of Garnett, Kansas

Twelve nieces and nephews – Alick Waun; Jaxon Waun; Chase Goff and his wife, Karla; Chance Edwards; Aiden Edwards; Legacy Harris; Laynee Goff; Oakleigh Goff; Landon Kalivoda; Bryson Kalivoda; Keegan Kalivoda; and Ryker Kalivoda

One great nephew – Waylon Goff

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanene Waun.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Elks Lodge, 220 N. Central, Parsons.
