Karen Kay McWilliams,70, of Parsons, residing in Springfield, Missouri; passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in her home. She was born in the south lands of Texas to Millie Mae (Henley) Warren on September 2, 1952.
She attended Primary Education several places in Texas, as well as in Parsons, KS, which also included Secondary Education endeavors at Labette Community College and Pittsburg State University.
Karen was a Healthcare Professional for several decades in various capacities and retired from Labette Health as an Informatics Specialist.
She was married to Louis C. McWilliams, and they share two children: Tressa Lynnette McWilliams, of North Carolina and Michael McWilliams of the home.
Karen enjoyed attending church services at Tri-State Faith Center, shopping, getting her hair done, gathering with family and friends and most of all spending time with her grandchildren: Shaqueal A. McWilliams of Wichita, KS, KyReena S. (McWilliams) Cowen of North Carolina, Eliajah D. McWilliams and Nevaeh Gilstrap of Joplin, MO, and Kilari S. McWilliams, Xavier Cole and Alexxus Cole all of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest daughter, Demetris McWilliams; her granddaughter, Armani Rashan McWilliams; a sister, Ruby Jean (Dobbins) Webb; and recently, her brother, LeRoy Dobbins Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
