Karen M. Rogers, 57, of Chetopa, died at 2:25 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at her home. She had been in failing health.

She was born October 19, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Theodore October and Minnie May (McCalister) Gulley. As a child, she was raised in a military family and lived in various locations throughout the United States.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa and founder of FROG (Fully Relying on God) Sisters Club. She enjoyed crocheting and plastic canvas crafting.

On June 4, 1979, she and Bruce Rogers were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Gulley; one daughter, Christina Kay Gulley; and one sister, Sharon Lee Sanders.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
