Kelli Jean Vining, 44, of Parsons, died at 5:15 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born October 7, 1966, in Long Beach, California, to Donald R. and Patricia E. (Roney) Vining. She later moved with her family to Kansas where she graduated from Altoona-Midway High School and also received an Associate degree from Labette Community College in Parsons.
She worked as a certified nurses assistant in nursing homes before her health began to fail in her late 20's.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Parsons. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, swimming, camping and playing softball.
She and Eric Hohler were married. They later divorced.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Vining, on July 2, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, near Thayer. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
