Kenneth R. "Kenny" Schoenhofer, 79, of rural Parsons, passed away at 2:56 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 25, 1939 in Walnut, Kansas to Raymond Anthony and Lavonne Samantha (Ward) Schoenhofer. He grew up in Walnut where he attended school and graduated in 1957 from Walnut High School.
On April 30, 1960, he and H. Jeleen Cox were married in Walnut. Following marriage, they lived in Savonburg, Walnut, and Hepler before moving to rural Parsons in 1969 where they made their family home and raised their family.
He was part owner with his father and brothers of Schoenhofer and Sons Saw Mill which later became Schoenhofer Brothers Saw Mill in St. Paul. In 1991, he purchased Dimensions Plant-Schoenhofer Brothers where they manufactured furniture parts.
In his younger years, he was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walnut. After moving to Parsons, he became a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and later moved his membership to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. In earlier years, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Kenny loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed making furniture and raising cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Teresa Cook and infant sister, Joan Schoenhofer.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons with a brief memorial service being held at 7:00 p.m.
