Kenneth W. "Kenny" Schulz, 73, of rural McCune, Kansas, died early Tuesday morning, November 19, 2013, while working cattle near McCune. He had been in his usual health and death was not expected.
He was born September 7, 1940 in Haddam, Kansas to William Henry "Bill" and Katherine "Irene" (Doran) Schulz. As a young child, he moved with his family to Galesburg where he attended elementary school and was a graduate of Galesburg High School. He then earned a Bachelor's degree at Pittsburg State University.
He taught mathematics at McCune High School for five years, was employed at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, and was currently a sales representative for Moorman Livestock Feed Company while raising livestock near McCune. He had served as swine superintendent at the Crawford County Fair for 40 years and looked forward to hosting an annual pig sale for the 4-H youth's projects. Kenny also enjoyed playing cards, raising registered pigs, and attending Pitt State games.
He and Patsy Osborn were married on August 6, 1960. They later divorced. On December 13, 1995, he and Nancy Seely were married in Carl Junction, Missouri. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Chris Thornton.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
The family has requested no flowers. Memorials are suggested to the Crawford County 4-H Council. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
