Kenneth B. Kinne, 88, of rural Erie, died at 7:17 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born February 22, 1922, in Erie, Kansas, to Orton A. and Flora (Burlingame) Kinne. He attended rural elementary school there and was a 1939 graduate of Erie High School. He was a farmer and stockman his entire life.
He enjoyed dancing and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He and Mary Ann Yockey were married May 15, 1942, in Pittsburg, Kansas. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2005.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Cale Kinne, on March 30, 2002; one brother, Orton Kinne, Jr.; and two sisters, Nell George and Ava George.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery on West 21st Street in Chanute.
