Kip D. Fentress

Kip Duane Fentress, 62, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2024 at Pittsburg Care and Rehab.

Kip was born on January 31, 1962 in Parsons, Kansas to Duane "Butch" and Reba (Holm) Fentress.

Kip grew up in Altamont, Kansas and was a 1980 graduate of Labette County Highschool.

He married Josie (Larson) on June 7th, 1991, at their home in Altamont.

Kip worked on the SFW at Kansas Army Ammunition Plant for 16 years. He later worked at Scepter in Miami, Oklahoma.

Kip enjoyed spending time with his family. Kip's grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved fishing and often enjoyed fishing trips with his brothers and nephews.

Kip and Josie lived in Grove, Oklahoma for many years. They enjoyed spending time on Grand Lake on their boat with their kids and grandkids.

Kip is survived by his wife, Josie, a daughter, Angie Fabrycky (Eli), a son, Tyler Powell (Brooke), six grandchildren, Brielle Vandervoort, Taylor Ryan, Noah Ryan, Luke Ryan, Banks Powell, Emma Fabrycky, an identical twin brother Kim Fentress (Betty Jo), brother, Gary Bradbury (Joan) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kip was preceded in death by his brother Danny Fentress and both of his parents.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Kip on Saturday, October 12, at the Parsons' VFW starting at 6:00 located in the eastside lounge and bar.
