Lawrence H. "Larry" Campbell, 73, of Chetopa, died at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.


He was born February 6, 1939, in Oswego, Kansas to Lawrence and Nelma (Nash) Campbell. He was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont.

Through the years he worked as a driver for Ford Implement in Chetopa and had also worked as a self-employed mechanic and truck driver. He was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ.

He and Sharon Garrison were married in Miami, Oklahoma.

Survivors include:
Wife and wonderful companion, Sharon Adkins of the home
One Son – John Campbell and wife, Robin Oronogo, MO
Two Daughters – Jane Hayward and husband, Tony Oswego, KS
Sherri Jackson and husband, Gary Oronogo, MO
One Stepdaughter – Debbie Cunningham Chetopa, KS
Seven Grandchildren
Four Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, half-sister and grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Oswego Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa after 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday. The family will also be receiving friends at their home located at 501 Plum Street, Apt. 24, in Chetopa.
