Lawrence E. O'Neill

Lawrence E. "Larry" O'Neill, 66, of St. Paul, died Friday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Wichita following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 5, 1937, the son of Daniel O'Neill and Loretta (Skelson) O'Neill at Staten Island, New York where he grew up and attended school. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked as an aircraft maintenance technician until retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant on May 31, 1975. He was a 20 year veteran and had been stationed in Vietnam for a time.
He was married to Jade Patterson on February 2, 1995 at St. Petersburg, Florida. She survives of the home. Following their marriage they moved to Neosho County where they have lived since.
He enjoyed playing bingo and in his earlier years enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Chanute and the Disabled American Veterans at Wichita.

Eleven Grandchildren
One Sister: Kit Peron – Staten Island, New York
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2003 at The Lighthouse Church, 310 S. 25th Street in Parsons with Pastor Randy G. Little officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Church and these may be left at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, 405 Main, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, Kansas 67357.
