Lelin K. George, 86, of rural Oswego, died at 1:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Oswego Nursing and Rehab Center in Oswego following a brief illness.
He was born January 21, 1922, in Hallowell, Kansas, one of eleven children, to Fred and Elsie Jane (Dobbins) George. He grew up and attended school in the Bartlett area. During World War II, he served in the United States Army.
He and Lorene Mae Reed were married December 14, 1941. She preceded him in death May 20, 2004.
He was a dairy farmer until the late 1970's and had lived on the family farm until his passing. He was a member of the Altamont Saddle Club and had served as board member of FHA.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. Burial has taken place.
