Lena M. Holley, 92, of Chetopa, died at 5:58 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.
She was born August 19, 1919, in Cherokee County, Kansas, to Elwood and Ella (James) Johnston. She was a lifetime area resident and a 1937 graduate of Cherokee County Community High School in Columbus.
For 45 years, she worked as an Avon representative and had received numerous awards through the years from Avon for her efforts.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Chetopa.
She and Jesse Henson were married. He preceded her in death. On November 24, 1955, she married Adrian Leroy Holley in Hockerville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death December 9, 1992.

Two Sons – Ronald Henson Commerce, OK
Gary Wayne Henson Narcissa, OK
One Daughter – Debbie Nading Galena, KS
Twelve Grandchildren
Numerous Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Correll; one daughter, Judy Tullis; and one granddaughter, Michelle Brady.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time, Saturday, at the church.
