Leo Alvin Burnett

Leo A. Burnett, 74, of Erie, passed away at 9:03 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Labette Health in Parsons.

Leo Alvin Burnett was born on November 28, 1949, to William A. Burnett, Jr. and Mazie N. (Brenner) Burnett in Parsons, Kansas

Leo worked forty years for Ruskin Manufacturing. He was in maintenance and production.  He served six years for the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.

On January 23, 1970, Leo and Gena R. Sanders were united in marriage in Oswego.  She survives him of the home.

Other survivors include:

One daughter – Leslie Bedene (Wesley) of Girard, Kansas

One son – Andrew Burnett (Meleia) of Erie, Kansas

Two grandchildren – Ella and Daniel Burnett

One sister – Gwen Lester of Parsons, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jesse Burnett; and one sister, Joyce Showalter.

The graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, at South Mound Cemetery in  South Mound, Kansas.
