LeRoy J. "Roy" Myers, 62, of Parsons, passed away at 8:35 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023, at his home.
LeRoy Jay Myers was born on April 11, 1961, to LeRoy Jasper and Barbara Jane (Miles) Myers in Parsons. He grew up and attended school in rural Parsons and various other places around the country as he moved with his family for his parents' jobs.
Over the years, Roy worked at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, for a landscape nursery, and Individual Mausoleum.
Roy enjoyed the outdoors, shooting guns and going fishing. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Survivors include:
One son – Matthew Myers of Rochester, New York
Two daughters – Billie Jo Wertz of Parsons, Kansas
Jesse Jaymes Myers of Parsons, Kansas
12 grandchildren
Three great-grandchildren
One sister – Robin J. Lieberman of Parsons, Kansas
His step-father – Don Lieberman of Parsons, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Myers; his mother, Barbara Lieberman; one baby son, Wyatt Myers; one brother; and three sisters.
No service has been planned at this time. Cremation is under the care of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
