Leslie "Buddy" Sutherland

Leslie "Buddy" Sutherland, 75, of Parsons, passed away at 8:15 a.m, Friday, July 26, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.

On January 3, 1944, Buddy was born to Luther and Virginia Mae (Whitacre) Sutherland at home west of Parsons, Kansas. He grew up in the Labette City area and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1961. In 1989 Buddy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University. Most of his professional years were spent as an electrician at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant. He was a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Buddy enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid sports fan.

Barbara Pointer of Choctaw, Oklahoma

Donna Pollock of Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Eighteen Nieces and Nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Aikman; and one grandson, Payden Sutherland.

The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
