Linda J. Carlson, 70, of Parsons, passed away at 3:27 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Labette Health in Parsons.
She was born April 22, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Wesley A. and Velma F. (Oliphant) Carlson. Linda grew up near Angola, Kansas and was a 1964 graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont.
Through the years, she worked at various jobs including Western Publishing in Coffeyville where she was employed for over 20 years until her retirement.
She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and its Growing Christians Sunday School class. She enjoyed crocheting, attending church activities, traveling, and was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan.

Four Nieces – Debbie Heberlein and her husband, Mark Villa Ridge, MO
Denise Hill and her husband, David Rural Angola, KS
Stacey Decker and her husband, Casey Skiatook, OK
Tammy Hayward and her husband, Mike Parsons, KS
Numerous Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara King.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at Richland Cemetery near Angola. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
