Linda Louise Tullis, 80, of rural Welch, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at her home.
Linda was born on November 7, 1944, to Morris "Burr" and Gertrude (Herridge) Yost in Oswego, Kansas. Linda was raised and lived in the Chetopa, Kansas and Welch, Oklahoma area with the exception of a few years during primary school in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from high school in Welch, Oklahoma, in 1962.
In 1964, she married Dale Tullis on September 26, in rural Chetopa. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. They had three daughters: Sheila Rahm of Fairland, Oklahoma; Sandy (Marty) Rauniker of McCune, Kansas; and Lynette (Fred) Goddard of rural Welch, Oklahoma.
Linda spent years raising her girls and helping with family farm work. She and her husband were 4-H leaders and recognized as a Craig County Farm Family. She later attended classes at Labette Community College to learn the art of upholstery work. She owned and operated Tullis Upholstery for 20 years. She loved to share her talent of upholstery work with others. Linda enjoyed collecting Victorian antiques, having tea parties for her girls, spoiling her grandchildren, and taking care of her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Yost.
Linda is survived by her husband; three daughters; five grandchildren, Tony Rauniker, Lauren Oehme, Chance Ward, Christopher (Robyn) Goddard, and Colton Goddard; two great-grandchildren, River and Oliver; one brother, Johnny Yost of rural Welch, Oklahoma; and one sister, Dixie Barr of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was loved by her many family members and friends
The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
