Lisa D. Mcguire

Lisa D. McGuire, 51, of Parsons, died at 6:08 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in the Emergency Room at Labette Health. She was born February 7, 1961, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Darrell L. and Texalee (Adair) Smith. She grew up and attended school in New Mexico until moving with her family to the Kansas City area where she attended Shawnee Mission schools. In 1979, she moved to the Parsons area where she had lived since. After earning an Associate degree in Dietary Management from Labette Community College, Lisa worked several years at Presbyterian Manor in Parsons. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed collecting four-leaf clovers. She and Ronnie McGuire were married. They later divorced. Survivors include: Her Parents – Darrell and Texalee Smith Gardner, KS Companion – John Lynch of the home One Son – Justyn McGuire Pittsburg, KS Two Daughters – Birgit Payne and her husband, Justin Altamont, KS Michelle McGuire Ft. Smith, AR One Stepson – Levi Lynch Tulsa, OK Five Grandchildren – Aaliyah, Kierra, Austin, Isaac and Jaxon One Brother – Brad Smith and his wife, Jennie Gardner, KS A Celebration of Life service and family visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
