Lisa M. Pilkington ,52, of Mound Valley, passed away at her home the morning of Tuesday May 30, 2023.
Lisa Marie Pilkington was born on April 9, 1971 to Donald P. Pilkington and Anita L. (Newbanks) Pilkington in Parsons Kansas. She grew up in the Mound Valley area, attending Mound Valley Grade school and graduating from Labette County High School in 1989.
Lisa lived her life with arms wide open. She loved and cared for every person in her life whether it be her daughters and other family members, or it be the residents with whom she spent so much time. She dedicated herself to her work. In her free time, she loved to fish, garden, or to do anything art related. Her biggest joy in life came from spending time with family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, friend, mother, and grandmother.

Her two daughters - Hadley Barrows and family of Towanda Kansas
Amber Barrows and fiancé, Tate Smith, of Parsons Kansas
One grandson- Gabriel Lewis of Towanda Kansas
Her father and stepmother - Donald and Donna Pilkington of St. Paul, Kansas
One sister- Dianne Pilkington Hunter and family of Norfolk, Virginia
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Pilkington; and brother, Danny Pilkington.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 12-2:00 p.m. at the Mound Valley Community Center. Family and friends are welcome to attend and remember Lisa with stories and memories. A private family burial will take place after at Mound Valley Cemetery. Cremation is under care of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Altamont.
Memorials are suggested to the Parsons Presbyterian Manor to benefit the Employee Scholarship Fund. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
