Lloyd C. Beatty, 64, of Parsons, died at 8:08 a.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born March 3, 1943, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Lloyd F. and Neva (Cole) Beatty. He grew up and attended schools in Pittsburg, Kansas, and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School. Following high school graduation, he attended The University of Houston for 2 ½ years. He was a brakeman for the Kansas City Southern Railroad.
He and Dorice Julian were married April 12, 1971, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.
He was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m., today, to sign the register.
