Loretta "Sis" Sevart, 92, of Parsons, passed away at 5:43 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 at Woodridge Estates in Parsons.
She was born July 8, 1923 in Greenbush, Kansas to Napoleon and Elizabeth (George) Jacquinot. She grew up and attended country schools in Greenbush.
Prior to marriage, Loretta worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons. On June 20, 1944, she and George A. Sevart were married in Greenbush. Following marriage, they lived in San Antonio, Texas two years before moving to Parsons.
She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons and its Altar Society. Loretta's passion was her family. Her home was always open to everyone. She will fondly be remembered for her strong faith and belief in the power of prayer. She enjoyed sewing, painting, ceramics, crafts, dancing, playing cards and games.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Sevart, on August 19, 2004; two sons, Dana Sevart, on July 14, 2003 and Roger Sevart, on March 27, 2015; four grandchildren, two brothers, Francis "Frank" Jacquinot and Clifton "Cliff" Jacquinot; and six sisters, Ollie Vanburen, Mary Meyer, Ethel Peel, Cecelia Halley, Thelma Walsh, and Margaret Lloyd.
The funeral Mass will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m., Friday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends at 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
