Louean Walton, 80, of Oswego and former resident of Newton, Kansas and Burlington, Kansas passed away at 6:05 a.m., Saturday, December 25, 2021 at her daughter's home in Oswego.

Louean Kincannon was born November 26, 1941 at Fordland, Missouri to Otis "Ray" Kincannon and Leura Leona (Lawson) Kincannon.  She grew up and attended school in Fordland, graduating from high school there in 1959.

Louean was united in marriage to William J. "Bill" Walton on June 27, 1959 in Fordland.  Following their marriage they moved to Newton, Kansas where they lived until 1976 when they moved to Oswego, Kansas.  She operated a daycare in her home in Oswego from 1981 to 1985 when the family moved to Burlington, Kansas.  She continued operating a daycare in Burlington for several years.  Over the years, she had several kids that she had from birth and kept close contact with them throughout their school years.  She had even attended many of their graduation and wedding ceremonies.  In many ways, Louean considered her daycare kids to be her grandkids.  She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and had been active in the PTA in Newton for several years. After their retirement, they lived in Webb City, Missouri.

Louean was an avid bowler and had enjoyed competing in numerous bowling tournaments across the United States.  In their retirement years, she and Bill had enjoyed traveling.   She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Burlington, Kansas.

On February 11, 2021, she was preceded in death by Bill Walton, her husband of over 61 years.

Survivors Include:

Daughter:  Robin Littlejohn (Chris Lahey) – Oswego, Kansas

Daughter-In-Law:  Debi Walton – Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Three Grandchildren:  Travis Walton (Kasey), Kelsey Littlejohn and Robert Littlejohn

Six Step-grandchildren:  Ty Lahey (Jyssica), Trey Lahey (Lindsey), Taylor Deer (Josh),

Ethan Lahey, Scott Hensley (Jenee) and Shannon Linn (Jerry)

Seven Great-grandchildren

One Brother:  Robie Kincannon (Deborah) – Fordland, Missouri

One Sister:  Leona Randles – Rockford, Illinois

In addition to her parents and her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Walton, who passed away on December 15, 2010; three brothers, Otis Kincannon, Jackie Kincannon and an infant brother, Charles Ray Kincannon; three sisters, Evelyn Stewart, Velnora Wilkening and an infant sister, Wilma Darlene Kincannon.

Funeral services will be held at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m., until service time on Tuesday.  Burial will follow at the Oswego Cemetery.
