Mound Valley

Lowell Wayne Wooten, 73, of Mound Valley, peacefully passed away the morning of Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He grew up in a large family, the youngest of 15 children.  Wayne loved visiting with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed going fishing.

Survivors include:

His wife of 32 years – Linda, of the home

One daughter – Grace Wilson and her husband, Cody, and their sons, Kayden and Declan

Two sons – Richard Wooten and his wife, Trish, and their son, Zachary Wooten

Brian Wooten and his wife, Fawn, and their children, Tyler Wooten and his wife, Shanna, and their children, Blake and Jesse Mahaffey; Cole Wooten and his wife, Megan; Hayden Wooten; Trinley Wooten; Maci Baker; Megan Baker; and Drew Baker

He was preceded in death by his parents; two step-sons, Zebulon and Justin Wonser; and many siblings.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.

Memorials are suggested to PALS.  These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS  67357.
