Lucille Heath, 86, of Mound Valley, died at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Wichita.

She was born February 28, 1925, in rural Mound Valley, Kansas, to Benjamin and Marie (Bitsco) Tallman. She grew up and attended school in the Dennis area and was a graduate of Dennis High School.

As a young woman, she moved to California where she lived most of her adult life. While living in California, she worked as a bank teller. Following retirement, she returned to Mound Valley where she had lived since.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mound Valley. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, cooking shows, and spending time with her neighbors and friends.

Survivors include:
One Nephew – Ken Moldenhauer and wife, Marcine Valley Center, KS
One Great-Niece – MacKenzie Moldenhauer
Cousins – Mary Metcalf and her son, Gale Seattle, WA
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Moldenhauer; and brother-in-law, Frank Moldenhauer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2011, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Mound Valley United Methodist Church. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.
