Lynn G. Strathe

Lynn G. Strathe, 79, of McCune, passed away at 4:18 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Girard Medical Center.

He was born on August 16, 1942, to Carl and Agnes (Greer) Strathe in McCune, Kansas.  He grew up and attended school in McCune, graduating from McCune High School in 1960.

For over 43 years, Lynn worked at Dayton-Superior, first on the line and retiring in 2009 from the position of Production Supervisor.  He was also a skilled carpenter, building the house that he and his wife, Carole, lived in in McCune.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of McCune.  Old cars were one of Lynn's favorite things.  He was also an avid reader.

On May 27, 1972, Lynn and Carole Phillips were married in Parsons.  She survives of the home.

Kevin Johnson of McCune, Kansas

Todd Wright and his wife, Sheila, of Florida

One daughter -Suzanne Lahey of Parsons, Kansas

Ten grandchildren

Ten great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a Celebration of Life 2 - 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the McCune Community Center in McCune.
