Lynnea S. Ballard, 74, of Chetopa, passed away at 8:24 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Labette Health in Parsons.
Lynnea Sigrid Honisch was born on September 23, 1945, to Ed and Deloris (Numadol) Honisch in Los Angeles, California. She grew up and attended school in California.
She was united in marriage with Tom Ballard, Jr. The couple moved to Chetopa in 1991. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2007.
Survivors Include:
Two Sons – Kevin Ballard of Joplin, Missouri
David Ballard of Vinita, Oklahoma
One Daughter – Sherry Ballard of Orange County, California
Seven Grandchildren – Rebecca DoByns, Shawna Wagner, David Ballard, Jr., Coral Ballard, Betty Ballard, Misty Ballard and Danielle Whitecotton
Two Great-Grandchildren – Patrick DoByns and Addison DoByns
One Brother – Richard Honisch of Lake Havasu, Arizona
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ballard, Jr., on May 3, 2007; one grandson, James Allen; and her parents.
Burial will take place at Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kansas. Burial arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa.
