Lynwood A. "Lynn" Manues

Lynwood A. "Lynn" Manues, 76, of Parsons, died at his home at 10:41 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2010. His death was on his 76th birthday.

He was born at Dewitt, Arkansas to John F. and Pearl A. (Owens) Manues. He grew up and attended school there until moving to Arizona in 1950. In 1980, they moved to Parsons where he worked at the former Parsons Motors for several years as a mechanic. After the tornado, he worked for Breedlove Motors until retiring.

He was married to Junella F. Mitchell on December 31, 1953 at Avondale, Arizona. She survives of the home. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a devoted family man and had a great passion and love for mechanics.

Twenty-One Greatgrandchildren
One Brother: Owen Manues - Dewitt, AR
One Sister: Barbara Cooksey - Stillwater, OK
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the Parsons Recreation Center Community Room.
