Madonna George

Madonna George, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on March 22, 2026.

She was born on October 19, 1943, in Parsons, Kansas. Madonna devoted her life to education, serving as a dedicated second-grade teacher for 42 years. Throughout her career, she inspired countless students in Kansas, New Mexico, and New Orleans with her patience, kindness, and love of learning.

Even after retiring, Madonna’s passion for teaching never faded. She continued to nurture young minds by tutoring her great nieces and nephews, always taking pride in their growth and accomplishments.

Madonna had a deep love for animals, especially her many dogs over the years, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eileen George, as well as her siblings Joanne Laforge, Gerald George, Ted George, Frank George, and Jack George. She is survived by her siblings Paula Muckerhide and Dick George.

Madonna was a beloved aunt to 26 nieces and nephews, with whom she shared countless memories and summer adventures. She was also cherished by her many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.

Madonna will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, her dedication to teaching, her fiery spirit, and the love she gave so freely to her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Inurnment will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas. Services are under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
