Mae E. Wilson, 89, of Parsons, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her home.
She was born May 20, 1928 in Emporia, Kansas to William and Anna (Brown) Brewer. As a young girl, she was raised in Emporia where she attended school.
In the 1960's, she moved to Parsons where she has lived since that time. For over 30 years, Mae worked at Power Flame in Parsons.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Parsons where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mae was a wonderful cook and enjoyed traveling, karate, dancing, and swimming. She loved children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She and Kenneth L. Wilson, Sr. were married. He preceded her in death.

Two Great-Grandchildren – Jacqueline Monet Wilson and Delaney Mae Wilson
Two Great-Great-Grandchildren – Travis Paul Wilson, II and Aubri Leigh Wilson
One Sister – Hazel Gershin Topeka, KS
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, one son, Jerry Wilson; and one daughter, Brenda Mae Wilson.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons.
