Marceline P. Taylor, 87, of Pittsburg, died at 8:45 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012, at Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born January 11, 1925, in Parsons, Kansas, to Gabriel and Anna (Racy) Perez. She grew up and attended school in Parsons and was a graduate of Parsons High School. For several years she worked at Foodtown in Parsons.
She and Charles Richison were married. They later divorced. In the late 1970's, following marriage to Charles Taylor, the couple moved to Butler, Missouri, where they owned and operated a grocery store. They retired in Pittsburg.
In earlier years, she had been active in the Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and getting her hair and nails done. She especially loved being called by her nicknames, "Aunt Phoebe" and "Mrs. Brown".

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor; three brothers, one sister, one son, Charles Richison, Jr.; and one stepson, Charles "Chuck" Taylor.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m., and continue throughout the afternoon on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the home of Jeff Perez, 3020 30th Drive, Parsons, KS. Burial will be at a future date at Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg.
