Margaret Anders, 83, of Parsons, died at 9:50 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2006 at Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.

She was born November 24, 1922 in Roseland, Kansas to Samuel G. and Stella E. (Cessna) Baker. As an infant, her family moved to the McCune area. She grew up and attended schools in the Crawford County area near McCune.

She married Chester O. Brown. During their marriage, they lived in several states while he served in the military. They later divorced. On August 20, 1953, she and Charles A. Anders were married. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1996.

She was employed for several years at the former Katy Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering and the various activities while she resided at Elmhaven. She was a member of the Friendship Southern Baptist Church in Parsons.

One Brother – Sam Baker and his wife, Doris Ocean Springs, MS
One Sister – Elsie Morrison Jacksonville, FL

She was preceded in death by two granddaughters-in-law, Judy Fraker and Donna Fraker; one great-granddaughter, Becca Thomas, three brothers and one sister.

Following cremation a graveside committal service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2006 at the McCune Cemetery.
