Marguerite S. Davis, 90, of Olathe, and formerly of Chetopa, passed away at 3:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County in Olathe.
She was born July 21, 1925 in Chetopa, Kansas to Homer S. and Musa A. (Lemley) Goudy. She grew up in Chetopa where she attended school and was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont. She then attended Kansas State Teachers College of Pittsburg.
Prior to marriage, Marguerite worked as a linotype operator in Paola, Kansas. On June 11, 1945, she and William E. "Bus" Davis were married in Columbus, Kansas. Following marriage, they lived in Chetopa where she assisted her husband in his business.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa.

Rick Davis and his wife, Melinda Lenexa, KS
One Daughter – Lynda Duncan and her husband, Bill Olathe, KS
Nine Grandchildren
Nine Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bus" Davis, on January 25, 1999; one son, Bill Davis, in April of 1976; and two sisters, Kathryn Rose and Georgia Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time, on Sunday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
