Marie F. Kliewer, 95, formerly of Parsons, passed away at 11:40 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Sharon Lane Health Services in Shawnee, Kansas.
She was born February 17, 1920 in Walnut, Kansas to Francis E. and Anna B. (George) Westhoff. As a young child, she moved with her family to rural Parsons where she grew up and attended school.
Marie was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, now St. Patrick's Catholic Church, its Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 299. For over 39 years she served as a "Pink Lady" at the Labette County Medical Center where she was named Volunteer of the Year in 1999. She also visited residents weekly at various nursing homes.
She and John W. Kliewer were married April 11, 1942 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Mound, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 27, 1994.

Susan M. Robison and her husband, Ken of Shawnee, KS
Four Grandchildren – Cole Robison and his wife, Stacey

Three Great-Grandchildren – Maura, Genevieve and Sophia
One Brother – Bernard Westhoff of Parsons, KS
One Sister – Francie Molliconi of Lakewood, CO
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons where the family will receive friends immediately following the rosary.
