Marion E. Neargarten, 94, of rural Parsons, died at 1:24 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons.
She was born March 29, 1912 in Brazil, Indiana to John and Buelia (Neese) Daugherty. She moved to Parsons as a child and attended local schools, graduating from Parsons High School.
On November 18, 1933 she married Wilfred F. Neargarten in Parsons. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2006 at Calvary Cemetery in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
